I can understand when they say 50/50 chance of rain but when they say 100% for days at a time and it’s a beautiful day, well I hope they go @&$(/%]€ themselves. I was going to take out my brand new fishing kayak today.

Also it can be windy and raining in Tampa but nice in st prete!

To me in FL in the summer if you are predicting 100% then it’s a low pressure front with full day or few days worth of rain. If there will may be a thunder storm, then damn say 50/50. Then I know it’s like any other summer day. Sorry. I’m grumpy as I have a brand new peddle kayak waiting to take out. First time ever with peddles.

I was going to take out my brand new fishing kayak today. I used to work in the weather forecasting field. We called ourselves "professional guessers" in self jest. Getting to the point, when I would state 100% chance of rain...we would be experiencing a front sitting over our area, or covered by a large low pressure system or in the direct path of a tropical system. 100% chance can also indicate higher chances for heavy and long duration rains. 50 per cent chance means scattered showers or storms that normally don't last long. My advice is similar to others who have posted. Have your smartphone handy and check the radar. And watch the skies near you...a storm can develop right over you and suddenly generate dangerous lightning.

If it sprinkles there's your 100% chance of rain
