That's all I've done since 11/18. The fish I've caught "in my head" during that span is beyond belief....Hate this cold.

Friends up in Wisconsin are expecting about 3-5 inches of snow and some areas where will get more. It will cool down for us but no snow thank goodness.

I don't need to be glad, thankful, or blessed as I would never live in that climate, I've sacrificed and worked hard to preserve my spot in paradise and I'm not leaving....still hate the cold

Yes, we have our cold spells but it is way better than dealing with the snow, ice etc. When we were living in Illinois we used to have a plate under the battery and plug it in at night. Seabird cross country skied to work a few times when he lived in Maryland.

Ive been fishing pretty hard my self latley. 40s at nite dont bother me a bit with three layers on, except my hands a little. Ive been doing pretty good latley by my standards. Got some nice keeper trout and a ton of “rat-reds” also got a 26” red last week.
By the time summer sets in i dont fish much and when i do its scrictly at nite. Im pretty busy with work at that time and also beat from heat as a result.
Early spring or this time in ohio on nice days ide be throwing plugs below dams with ice beads forming on the line and collecting on the top eye. Youde have to dip the tip of your rod in the water every few casts to keep the ice at bay:-)

My buddies in northeast PA got a nice mess of bass and pickerel ice fishing this weekend. I think I miss winter up north, but i think its a bad case of nostalgia!

Went out today to herd some Sheeps, spent 2hrs searching for mud crabs, finally found some quarter sized on the north side of the Skyway....hundreds of small crabs under every rock, just need to grow some. Back across the bridge to my secret spot..Ha..fished for 2.5hrs and not one Sheep, ended up with a 14.5 & a 17" Permit, 2 other dudes got their limit, all well above the min. One guy caught a short Pompano. Smoking one of them Permits now folks..........
