Some grouper were caught 3 keeper I see. One of them my GF caught... bonita were around for 1 min...
So if you want bonita they should come and go.. probably show up at north side more than south.

If y'all were trying to target Bonita what lures and techniques would you recommend?

I've never seen consistency from them around SSP. Most I've ever caught was 1 fishing all day

I am sure the Macks have migrated south to warmer waters. Bonitas may be around.

Yes the winds are dying down but it will take several days for the water to calm down and clear.

Yes the winds are dying down but it will take several days for the water to calm down and clear. I agree with shadowxmas, I would not go out tomorrow. Chances for macks very low. I have caught isolated macks in water as cold as 64 F but they were caught as a bycatch. I was fishing for other species with a sabiki. The Bay water temp is 64 F. Sunday and Monday are definitely doable. I hope to get out one of those days.

I never realized sabiki fishing was so big..... Yes, it can be. Learned about it from an oriental lady at Ft. Desoto who was hauling in fish in big numbers. Sabikis now important part of my fishing gear.

You using the big sabikis rigged on 60# line? I use the heavier line sabikis when I know there are macks around. For winter fishing I use 20-30 pound line.
