This is a good thing, There seems to be good stock on American Red Snapper in the Gulf. We caught many in Jan 30 mi out of Johns Pass but could not keep just one for dinner

Good for snapper but that SOB is taking our beaches from us. He has lost my support and the guy he is running against is a idiot too. Wish there was a third person to vote for. Damm I might of ran myself if these two were the only choices. You think Trump is shaking things up, put me in office. The senate would never be the same.

Not sure what you mean by 'taking out beaches from us' Could you please explain . Thanks. If I understood it right from the Announcement, You now have to be below the High Tide Line to be on the Beach of any Property. If You are sitting or resting above that line, You can receive a Citation for being there if You do not leave when asked to leave.

That's like BS. If you surf fish like I do you leave your cart and stuff up above the line. So that might be trespassing? This guy needs to go back to Texas where he came from. He's not from Florida. It's bad enough beach access is limited as it is in this state. Montyfl, your hat in the ring? GK

That is also my understanding but hopefully many property owners will not chase people off the beach unless they are doing something negative ie leaving trash, not filling in holes they dug etc.

Caught myself. So used to it being called the St Pete Times. You never want to be in the dunes as that causes damage and the dunes protect our beaches in storms. I know many of you know this but am posting for newbies and tourists.

It's about access to fishing, unfortunately the current Governer isn't fishing friendly, the mess with overflow from River O and how he stands with big sugar has ruined the fishing due to the freshwater releases on both coasts. Now this with the beaches and trespassing. I might have to buy a some beach front property just to fish!
It's great that the Red Snapper season is extended.

Just asking since you seem to direct everything.
Not messing with you, just trying to figure out your role.
Do YOU understand? Then quit bullying my post. Even though I can take it. Carry on, my Good Sir!

There's enough Red Snapper stacked up out there from 45 ft on out to feed all of us many times over. The myth they are endangered or overfished is a lie made up by those with thier hand$ in the till. More harm has been done by repeated catch and release than ever would have occured if the anglers would have been allowed to harvest their catch, and make use of the resource than iresponsible catch-release-die- waste the resource. Same story with Amberjack.
