Check out my pier cart effort... already had the cart for yard work, just picked up two rod holders for the build. The white board is Azek (pvc). Cooler is a 55qt igloo yeti ripoff. 18g baitwell inside the cart, battery goes under the cooler along with some tackle. Couple 5g buckets on top of the bait well and rods and you're fishing! Headed to NC to try this thing out on beach and pier. Probably not worth the room on the SSP, but you lucky dogs get to park next to your spots. That aint normal!

I saw that one on the News Yesterday. That Wagon will do 90mph with a 350ph engine. One heck of a Fishing Vehicle.

That's a nice setup, but 18 gallons of water is approx. 144 lbs. Combine that with the battery and ice for the cooler and you're over 150lbs. That's a lot to pull! You might want to test out how much everything weighs before you head to the beach and have to pull through the sand. Make sure it's not too tippy. Just my .02!

Some good points there bman. Though you missed the fact that the cooler you see there is "yeti heavy." And if you've never picked up a yeti you are in for a treat. Rotomolded plastic seems heavier than lead. The cart is easily capable of 200+ loads. I've hauled big rocks with it around the yard no issues. Figure 10g in the well balanced against the weight of the cooler. Hoping it works out.

I see your point. In that case, you might want to change out that bungee cord for a cinch strap/tie down. Let us know how it works out for ya.

I have my sons old Radio Flyer beach wagon, I attached rod holders to the side. It's great for putting a 5 gallon bucket and cooler plus other odd items I can't get in a tackle bag.
To be honest I stopped using the wagon it as bulling over 150lbs was a pain in the ass. I'll get it out if I go with the kids or family to the beach or if a group of buddies and I go fishing, but if it's just me I go lighter. Those Yeti style coolers weigh a ton, I switched to the soft cooler versions for day trips, saved my self 40lbs of weight.
Good setup Skywaypa. Will save you long trips back and forth to the car and back surgery for lugging that Yeti around.

My dad welded a stronger rod holder on one end for a shade umbrella. Comes in handy for duckin the sun for a bit or riding out a shower

I have made one myself and yes youll have to work out the bugs but the one biggest one is when you go to pull that thru the sand. it will be hated find wider tires is a must..

Turns out it pulled through sand just fine. I mean, it could have been a bit smoother in the powder, but we managed a fully loaded cart to the fishing spot. That's a win. Taking it on and off the truck was a bit of a pain. Now if it only caught fish...
