Thinking about a trek to the piers tomorrow morning. Anyone have any reports of water clarity and such? Is there still runoff dirtying it up? Any prospects for decent fish? I'm not interested in jacks and ladys really. Hope no one takes offense to that. I see water temps at 85 still but salinity drops to 31.

Good luck! Many of us would be interested on what you find out there. Not offended by the jack and ladyfish comment. I don't target them but they are much better than nothing.

They are all feed on the bait pods. I catch my biggest and best fish using Jacks and ladyfish as bait. If people are reporting they are catching, ladies, jacks and blue runners you can be sure there's some good fish to be caught in the mix. The drop in salinity won't effect Reds, Snook, Black drum or tarpon, but will stop Kings, cobia and other more pelagic type fish. Good luck, tight lines. SN.

Thanks tears. Thinking about planning a trip out myself.
Nothing wrong with a crevalle dinner. Good eats if prepped right. Bleed as soon as you catch and ice. Just remove the blood line like you would a mackerel when cleaning. Very firm white meat. I like making tacos with them.

I went to ssp monday caught 3 macks and blue runner saw a guy named Barry caught a nice grouper keeper. Went also Tuesday and caught a limit of macks with the help of a friend! Heard the NP water was murky but ssp was pretty blue.
