Arrived around 7 p.m. and found plenty of pilchards very willing to hit the sabiki. Also had 5 dozen small shrimp. Not too busy, but alot of people with tents, grills and beer, reasons I don't usually go Saturdays, but this is the first chance I had to get out there in a while. Initially the peir looked none the worse for the wear, until it got dark. There seems to be more lights out than I remember from a couple weeks ago. Like long stretches with no light. I had found a good spot and the Mangos were biting, but left to find a spot under lights that were on. Should have stayed as the bite slowed down elsewhere. Took home a 13" Mango for dinner, Montylfl's advice to use small shrimp paid off. Had a lot of 7" to 9" inchers that went back to get bigger. Stoped at the small bridge on the way out and got a 15" Snook who also went back. Lights were out there too making it hard to do anything. It was so dark I thought the Snook was a catfish at first.

Tents and grills? Glad to see they're enforcing the rules! Nice to see you caught dinner through the circus! GK
