I would try for mackerel and later in the evening depending on the tide I would try for snapper and grouper on the rock piles.

Heading out now to the SSP. Want to know what usually bites this time of day. Snapper should be biting at this Time of the Day. Use Shrimp or Cut Greenbacks for Bait. Fish the Support Bridge(Pier) Columns on the Incoming Tide. At about 7:00pm. when the Tide Changes to the Outgoing Tide, Fish for Spanish Mackerel using either a Spoon, Gotcha Plug or Use Live Greenbacks on a Hook if they are around. You can also Fish the Rockpiles for Snapper & Grouper(using a Pinfish or Grunt) on the Outgoing Tide. The Fish should be Biting before the Cold Front comes into the Area from the North. After the Cold Front Arrives the Catching of Fish usually slows down for a couple days or so. The Cold Front is Coming. www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov//noaa/noaa.gifFor Further Information on Fishing the Fronts, Go Up To: " STICKY - MASTER GOOD INFO THREAD" and Look for the Article, " FISHING the WEATHER FRONTS" on Page 1. The Local Forecast Shows Rain & Windy Days for the Next Few Days. www.baynews9.com/content/news/baynews9/weather/forecast.html

This is Very Possible if the Water Temperature would cool down a couple of Degrees but that usually does not occur until around September. If the Grouper are Hungry, they will bite at anytime. The Grouper at this time of Year will be in the Deeper Water or Hiding around Structure to keep Cool & out of the Sun.

Arrived at the SSP around 3:00 PM right next to the first bathroom. Tide was incoming so fished the pilings. Freelined some pinfish but no luck. Did manage to catch a decent grunt under the bridge but that was all. Went Home around 5:00 PM due incoming rain.
