MM: Any shark that big I will not mess with. If I want to catch a large one, I will only do so with a licensed captain who knows what he is doing!

YouTube is quite the entertainment at times. If you want to learn what NOT to do.... D True, I love spending time looking at YouTube videos. But somehow I start with a fishing video and 45 minutes later I'm looking at clips of The Three Stooges, skateboarding fails, car crashes or some other nonsence. I can't figure that out! Lol

Crazy stunt. sharks deserve lots of respect as their business end (teeth) can be very painfully and deadly at times. I do not mess with sharks either.

This is why I always try to "Land" the shark if I can or bring it up into shallow water. Then Dehook and return. I would never make a trip into waste high water with a shark that has been fighting for its life.

My wife caught a 34" bluefish a month or so back. I tried to unhook it with an 8" pistol grip style dehooker. As I got near the hook I noticed how close to its piranha_death_bite my hand was getting... decided to liberally apply the fish club before dehooking. You only get one set of fingers and they have to last your whole life. Disrespect toothy creatures at your peril.

Taking a Hook out of a Kingfish or Barracuda & Large Spanish Mackerels make Me think Twice about dehooking them. Where are My Fingers at ? I need My Fingers to hold My Drink & Pole for the Big Fish !
