Hello all,
Got out to the pier around 8ish, my buddy said last night a large bull shark was caught and last weekend a big hammerhead.
My spot was packed so I turned around and a saw a guy land a big Spanish mac, plenty of room Next to him, so I found a spot. Mack caught on a greenback on the bottom. That group was grouper fishing, but there was a very big dolphin who was taking all our baits with regularity. The greenbacks were deeper and thick and they were aggressive to, hit sabikis almost every cast.
I soaked 1 while greenback and another chunk on a jig mid water column... Nothing on either. On my sabiki with 1oz big on bottom instead of a sinker I scored more greenbacks than ever, 5 leather jackets, and 3 Spanish macks, I keeper that feel off as I was flipping it over the rail, it hit the rail and everyone moaned.
There was a new family throwing shrimp and squid chunks at the greenbacks and not catching anything. After explaining what to do, they did not have the tackle, so I have them a sabiki and they all caught fish, grunts, greenbacks, and a spadefish. That was great to see.
Thanks all and have a great week and fill those buckets.
Ps lots of snapper coming over the rails too

Nice job, t-gills!
Though not necessarily edible, them fish more than likely brought joy and a good time memories to that family. Most times it's not the trophies but the times fishing together that counts.

No food for the table, just a boys reputation for always catching a fish. Visiting from up north, based on their tackle, may have been there first saltwater experience.
Bobber fishing with little weight, bass jigs, and some crankbaits.
