Got there right at 07:00 with 3 dozen medium sized live shrimp. The water was pretty clear and slack. Tied on a fish finder with 1oz weight an 3.5 feet of 25lb fluor ended with a size 1 circle hook. The Mangos started hitting right away. Landed 2 keepers in the first 10 minutes. Had 9 more, but all shorties. Also pulled up a Porgy (Jolthead or Saucerye?) And saw a couple next to me also get a few of them. I ran out of shrimp and started to use cut threadfin chunks with no success. When the sun came up more all I got were sand perch, sea robins and pins. A storm rolled in right before 10:00 and I rolled out as the lightning was pretty bad. Very happy with the results as it was the first time I've targeted Mangos. I read the snapper threads on here 3 times over. Definetly helpful!

Good eats, the sand peach and porgy are good eating as well. Head and gut. Put slices down the meat and pan fry.
Thanks for the report

Good stuff! It's always good to take home a few for dinner. How were the crowds on the bridge when you got there?

Nice action with the mangos. The porgy looks like a grass porgy. Good eating as blacktip said. Thanks for the report.

Good stuff! It's always good to take home a few for dinner. How were the crowds on the bridge when you got there? I stayed between the first and second bathrooms and was almost by myself. As far as I could see further down it wasn't too bad, but there were several boats close to the bridge near the bait shop area. Before the first bathroom it was mostly guys cast-netting for bait.
