Got to the NSP around 6:00PM and left at 10:00PM, made it a quick night but had some fun action between 7:00PM - 8:30PM and then it went dead. Really windy night and made it tough to cast far. Live shrimp from the bait shop today, no hook-ups from cut bait (large green backs and pinfish). 3 baby groupers, 1 baby mango, 1 trout (15 inches) and 2 lane snappers. Everyone lived to grow and be caught for another day.

Good report, Glad you let everyone grow up some more. Its always more important to be a good steward, that keep them just because it barely made legal.

Thanks Gnome and Mackerelman... I only keep what I think my wife and I will eat in the next 3 days, if I catch any of course! =] I always wonder how many fish are harvested and then let gone to waste. I'm a chef by trade so waste kills me.
If I snag a Gag this season, I will not let it go to waste... let's hope some big boys come out and play! I'll be out there Saturday giving it a go!

When I get back, I am looking forward to Meeting You.

Surprised by just one trout. They usually travel in schools Trout was caught first then I threw out to the same-ish spot and hooked up with a baby grouper. No one else was catching anything else around me other then pinfish.

The Skyway Piers has their Bad Days & Good Days. Sometimes You Catch Keeper Fish & Sometimes You don't.
Throughout the Many Years that I have been Fishing there, I have hauled them in & sometimes I have left with Nothing. I have caught 10' Sharks that I could not bring over the Rail & sometimes, all I could catch was Bait Fish.
You just have to keep Your Head Up & Your Fishing Lines in the Water. Like an old saying I once was told. "You just never know what You will find when You Fish".
