l read the capmel site this evening and it mentioned preparing and eating ladyfish. they are fun to catch but I have always released them or given them away.
I tried to eat one after filetting. I normally can filet other fish and have them virtually boneless. however, when I tried to eat the ladyfish filet I could not even eat one full bite. there must have been a 100 bones in that bite! what I did taste of the fish tasted good.
is there a way to.prepare that kind of fish without filling your mouth full of bones?

put it in the freezer for about 30mins... take it out and fillet it. Then take a metal spoon and scape the meat off the fish. The bone will stick to the skin.

Looks like Alaska man got some hailbut. I lived in Alaska for awhile and caught halibut. One of best fish there is! my biggest was 98 pounds. We went fishing out of Homer AK. Silver Fox charters, the best!

I was out a fort desoto once and there wss a teen there and he said it wsd his favorite fish. Kept everyone anybody landed. I can't do it but I would be lucky to enjoy those. Never run out of fish. I have heard bout using a spoon to clean them. Either scoop out the dark or light meat can't remember

Just scrape the meat... it's all white flesh except a few line of red one. They are very tasty fish if prepare correctly.
