HEY GUY, I MAY BE A LIL OFF SUBJECT BUT, IM NEW TO THE FORUM AND STILL FAIRLY NEW TO FLORIDA AND WADE FISHING IN FLORIDA, I WAS WONDERING WHAT WADING GEAR IS YOU GUYS USE, IM TRYING TO PURCHASE A GOOD WADING SHOE THAT COULD HANDLE JETTY HOPPING , WADING THE FLATS AND TREKKING THROUGH SOME ROUGH STUFF. IM LOOKING FOR COMFORT AS WELL . I WAS THINKING KORKERS WOULD BE OVERKILL HERE. BASICALLY WADERS , WADING SOCKS, BOOTS/SHOES AND CLEATS. WTH DO YOU GUYS USE? HOW MANY HELP A NEWBIE OUT ? THANKS IN ADVANCE

During times of warm water just a pair of good diving boots works well. Protects you from stingrays to some extent and comfortable. During cold water, plain ole waders with a decent boot but nothing fancy really needed. You can spend big bucks on some different ones. Some offer better thermal protection than others. Check out Scuba.com, they have nice selection of boots.

I used those $5 shoes at wagreens. They last about a year. Works well on the rocks at honeymoon island. Any one who wade fished there knows what I mean. By the way when Wade fishing around here less tackle is better. Simple float 20 l. Leader and a hook is all you need

THANKS MAN, IM GONNA CHECK THAT OUT, BTW A WEEK AGO I WENT CASTING OFF THE ROCKS AT SSW BY THE TICKET BOOTH, HOOKED UP A MONSTER SNOOK BUT HE BROKE MY 25# LEADER OFF, I WASNT EXPECTING SUCH A LARGE SNOOK IN THAT AREA, BUT SHOWS HOW MUCH I KNOW DONT IT LOL

Or sand off the leader. I had a 30" snook sand off my 30# leaders... Right when I landed him on the sand, the line pop. I ran down and grabbed him.
