My past several trips I have been skunked. What has happened to the fishing there? I have been fishing the pier damn near forever and have caught all kinds of fish. Been skunked before but it has gotten to the point of now I'm wondering what is up. Has anybody had any real luck there lately? Very few posts here anymore so it has me thinking poorly of me ole fishing spot. Think im going to go wade the flats or beach fer snook.

This time of the year it's slow all around until you fish for snapper or grunts during sunset/sunrise and at night.

I went to the NS last weekend. First time I ever fished there on a Friday night and a Saturday day time. I try not to go o the skyway on the weekend due to so many people. I try to plan my fishing on Thursday nights and Friday daytime. This is what I caught. Two sand trout about 14" each, 2 sea trout in the 20" and 2 jacks. That's about it. Bait was everywhere until flipper showed up. I think fishing would of been somewhat better if the current wouldn't have been so strong. I caught the sea trout fishing for snapper using cut bait. I think my next trip will not be until the water cools down a little then maybe the macks might be back in
