Gonna make this short and sweet. Went 35 miles out with Rich (aka fishonfishoff) and a couple of friends to try to hunt down some of those elusive and endangered Red Snapper , and we had a blast. Launched from Bradenton at about 6:30am and made the trip out to 110-120 feet and hammered fish most of the day. Baits used were frozen sardines, frozen greenbacks/threadfins, and live pinfish. We fished til around 1:00pm or so and headed back in before it got too hot. What we brought home: 7 American Red Snapper, 7 Mangrove Snapper, a Triggerfish, and a Small but legal Yellow Tail Snapper. Throwbacks included 4 keeper Gags from 23-28 inches, a bunch of 18-19 inch Red Grouper, and 5 or 6 NICE Amberjacks. We also caught couple of Bonito and hooked a couple of nice sized lemon sharks that we didnt put in the boat. A few of the Red Snapper were pretty nice, but none were real BIG hogs. We DID however, get 2 REAL nice Mangos, the biggest Ive ever seen, measuring in at 24 and 26 inches. Crazy! Overall it was a great day, lots of fun, and I cant wait to get back out and do it again!!!! The haul at the dock: 24 inch Goozer Grover Monster Mango - 26 incher!!! AmberjackRich with an AJNice lil ARSAnother shot of that ridiculous MangoSoon-to-be-dinnerAshley with a RedBookends

Wow, very nice for 35 miles out. I would like to get a trip set up with fishonfishoff if he does chartering.
