what are some decent other fishing spots here in pinellas?
I've tried Gandy area with mixed results.
Johns Pass is cool, if ya have a boat. i have only fished shore from it once with no luck and lugging stuff from the truck to the spot sucks...unless i just don't know where to park...
Reddington long pier...meh..
Pass-a-Grille has been ok..
I have always had good luck in the intercoastal (reds!) and Skyway/Egmont channels in a boat...but alas, I don't have a boat right now....(a kayak is in my future tho to eliminate some of this stuck to the shoreline stuff)
I live 3 stoplights from Indian Rocks Beach ....but have never fished up this area, or by Sand Key, or Bellair Causeway, any ideas how those aeas are?

never fished up this area, or by Sand Key, or Bellair Causeway, any ideas how those aeas are? Sand key bridge is good at night for Tarpon, Snook and trout. Head out to the jetty during the early morning and catch Mack,s snook, trout redfish, cobia flounder jacks blues Have not been to the bellair causeway since they redid the bridge but was good for Sheepie, trout, snook and reds. There are also a couple parks on the intercoastal just south of indian rocks. get some trout, reds and snook back there. Also try the beach early morning. walk along the beach and cast arti's ( top dogg, skitterwalk and or whitebuck tail jig) at a 45 degree angle to the shore. You would be surprised how close the snook are to the shore. Trout too

Snook bite really fires up about 2 am when the big light goes off under sand key bridge.
