Hit the SSP just before dawn,,, set up just before the Baitshop.
Tons of bait around the pilings. Plenty of Macs on Sabikis & Gotchas before 10am. Mac bite turned off and then it was just junkfish,,, tried everything,,,, cut bait on the bottom & under a float,,, live pinners, Runners & sardines on the bottom ,,,, even got a spoon out,, but nada,,, macs were chasing but not taking.
Called it a day at about 3pm,,, still a fun day in the sun except for the solitary douch-bag right next to me who arrived and set up 6 grouper rods spanning 50+ feet of bridge,,, damn that gets on my tits. lol

To jump on your thread, I was out yesterday as well, got there about 8 a.m. at slack tide, decent amount of bait, set up for the incoming, tried my hand at mack fishing, didn't get any interest on large sabiki, gotcha, or live bait.
Fished incoming to about noon, wife caught an 18 inch shorty, I got no bites. Went to fishing on the incoming side with cut greenbacks, those little grouper can't resist that stuff, landed 4 shorties in about an hour, fun, but no dinner!
Saw shorty macks caught around me, but nothing much else.
Weather was perfect, wind was manageable.
