Caught 4 yesterday and several today but they were all undersized. I was working the area from the bait house to the entrance on the south pier. They only hit on the second half of the outgoing tide. Good luck and keep me informed on how you do.

thanks. never tried the skyway for pomps. Always the passes and during the incoming tide. Might have to run from the pier to the passes or vise versa. Very interesting

They are basically the same. I use both. I use a yellow jig together with a pink teaser tied with a loop knot. I also tie a yellow teaser about 12 inches higher.

I just tied up some new ones tonight, made half of them with a teaser 12" up and the others regular with a loop knot.

Constantly check your leader for fraying after each hit or catch. Especially after a mack hits. I once caught a mack on the top teaser which frayed the line slightly and I was too lazy to change it. Wouldn't you know it, the very next cast, I hooked into 2 very large pomps at the same time and SNAP right at the top of the water. I was so pissed! Lesson learned! Good luck!

Gandy Bait & Tackle and T. A. Mahoneys for sure. Probably at Minnows & Monsters and Southeastern Liquidators. All in the Tampa area. I don't know of any places closer to you. I primarily stick to the Tampa area where I live.

You can also find them at Holy Mackeral tackle on 49th Street in Pinellas Park. Good luck to us all to catch more of those tasty critters!

Any local bait shop carries them. They were made and developed in the Tampa area. However, you will not find that at Walmart or the big retailers.
