Good morning all. Just laying here, can't sleep. Seems like a good time to browse the forums. My friend and I are heading out here in a few hours and hope that now with the front passed us the fish will be biting in the morning. Got our Sabiki's, and dressing warm. Let's hope the macks show up again. if anyone is out there today, look for the Nissan King Cab and me in my wheelchair and come say hi. Good puck to all and I will post a report this evening on how it all went.

Howdy all. Well, we just got back from our day at the pier. We were there for about 4hrs. From roughly 12-3pm. The weather was blustry at best. Air temp in mid 60's and wind howling from the NW at about 20, gusting up to around 30. Needless to say we were glad that we dressed warm. We started out fishing up some pins and greenbacks by the first bathroom. These fell quickly to shrimp tipped sabiki's. After that, we moved down a bit and started what turned out to be a very cold, windy, afternoon of more fishing than catching. My buddy, catcherman from these boards, hooked into a good sized Pompano. The fish quickly straightened his hook and broke it off. Also caught were one small, thin Spanish Mackerel, and a few lizard fish. We saw a couple others catch small macks here and there, but the general opinion of all we talked to was that today wasn't the day.
Last Friday we hada great day, easily caught our limit of macks. But this time I believe the wind and murky water brought on by the very rough conditions kept the bite to a minimum. Hopefully more next time. But that's why its called fishing not catching. Good luck to all. Till next time, have fun and fill those coolers!
