My wife and I fished from 9:30 am until 1 pm. When we first arrived the water was somewhat murky but I still picked up 4 macks very quickly. They were legal to keep but pretty thin so we decided not to keep any. We were hoping for trout but they did not show where we were. By noon the water had cleared significantly as the tide had risen and there were lots of macks being caught on sabikis. We did see a few silver trout but they were very small. I imagine the mackerel catch will be awesome this afternoon. If we had kept ours we would have easily limited out.
I did see one guy hooked up with something large about 50 yards to my left. They dropped a pier gaff but whatever it was broke off. It's a beautiful day out there whether the fish are biting or not. In the words of Delmar O'Donald, "Come on in boys. The water's fine."

Hey there David! My buddy and I were out there on the same day. I was the one in the wheelchair. I can confirm that the macks were certainly out in force. We got there about 730am and left at about 3pm. Tides were good, and yes, the water was really murky till about noon. It seemed that the macks started hitting in force about 9am and the bite was still on when we left. We went home with our limit, if not, very close too it. Well, I didnt, I gave my share to my friend as im not really into the stronger fish meat.
Anyhow, we had a great day, got to meet some great people and hope to return soon. Maybe in the next week or two. Till then, Tight lines and full coolers to all!!

Great to connect with you online after talking with you on the pier. I was planning to go back tomorrow but my right hip is not cooperating so I need to give it a little more rest.
I would expect that the fishing is only going to get better from this point on. I'm sure I'll see you some more. Blessings.
