We got a little more notice about the next Fishing Conversation at Gator Ford on Tuesday, January 11. Capt. Woody Gore will be Capt. Mike Anderson's featured guest. He will talk about winter time tactics for inshore fishing for species such as redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead, and flounder. For more information here you go. forshorefishing.blogs.theledger.com/13628/gore/?pa=all&tc=pgall

BigDawg--Why don't you get some fishing buddies together and car pool it. It's worth it when you consider you get to eat dinner, get a free MirrOlure plug, usually a MirrOdine or a comparable one you'd want to use, and you may end up winning a raffle prize.
Not to mention all you could learn about fishing the area and networking as far as possible new fishing spots and fishing buddies you may meet.
These get-togethers are really worth it.

What is the cost for these seminars ?
I could use some pointers about cold weather tactics from someone who earns a living by being a successful fisherman /guide. For me , cold water fishing has not been all that productive , and I could use some "insider information" !!
Thanks for the advance word . I will plan on it !!

Dadflyer--There is no cost for the seminar. That's right, it's free. So you get to soak in some good fishing knowledge, you get fed some good chow, you get a free MirrOlure, and also have a chance to win some decent raffle prizes. It's a no brainer.
The only thing is you'll be tempted to buy a new Ford truck or SUV and the salesmen will be hovering around making sure you've seen any vehicles you may be interested in during the dinner break. LOL
That's why Gator Ford hosts it. It's all about promotion and advertising.

Hey Snookie,
Free food !.. and cold water inshore tactics thrown in for free ...?
The only way it could be better would be if they threw you in as a raffle prize to fish the sheepies with ya , and your technique on how to harvest stone crabs .
Do you call for a reservation , or just show up ?

DF--You just show up. Get there a little early though. Last time I got there at 6:45pm and Capt. Geoff was already giving a demonstration.
Plus this time with more notice, I'm sure it will be more crowded.

So, if it isn't advertized well in advance ,.. there's more food ?
Should I bring a "doggie bag " ?
