Will be on the NSP shortly after midnight. I was out Wed with the wife and I got 8 Silvers. Didn't catch or see much else though. Going to give it a try again tomorrow. To windy for my taste. The report says 14 mph winds. Hope it doesn't get any more than that. Hopefully less. I'll be driving a white 4 door F150 and dressed like it's Montana or someplace. If anyone is out there look me up. riverviewsteve USN, Retired

Your right about that havetofish. It was plenty cold. I didn't have to worry about elbow room either. When I got there It was me and Mike the night guy. Four other guys were just leaving. They were pretty discouraged I guess. They left two five gallon buckets and at least five pounds of squid. No green backs. At least not where I could see them. I had an outgoing tide till 9am and it was something else. I put 16 ounces of weight on one line and it still wouldn't sit still. Got one little tiny trout. A lot of very small pins and very nice size grunts. I had a free line out and I think I may have lost a couple of Groupers. Couldn' get them out of there holes though. Being the pro that I am> Ha Ha It was a lost cause for me. Had a lot of fun though. It wasn't like I didn't have lots of room. When I left at noon there still weren't more than about 10 vehicles there. Oh well next time. I hope I get that grouper soon. Oh well It's only been ten years I'm bound to get one sometime. Law of averages. My best yet was two 19". One at the NSP and one on a boat trip. Tight lines riverviewsteve MCPO, USN, Retired

fishwander I don't even know where I got that old sinker. I had one of those I beleive are called a torpedo or something that weighed 10 ounces and it wouldn't hold so I put on another 6 ounces just trying to keep it close to the pier and it still rolled out about 20 or 30 feet from the pier. That tide was really moving for a while there. havetofish have I met you? Didn't you say you saw me out there. Also was that you that tipped me off about taking the bait off the sabiki back when we still could fish the other side it hadn't closed yet. Whoever it was, was catching mackeral right and left. I took the bait off and had caught about 30 macks in about 30 minutes. Only two keepers and two brand new sabikis hookless but it sure was fun. riverviewsteve MCPO, USN, RETIRED

Nope, we have never met Steve. Seems like it. But, yes on the Big Sabiki's with no bait. You'll only catch the smaller ones even with 30 lb. leader and 50 lb main and they won't last long. The bigger macks will cut you off. Have hauled up 3 at a time with them Big Sabiki's.
