Hi folks, Get ready for a fun tournament on thanksgiving day on the nsp but this one will be a little different it will start at 6:00am and end at 1:00pm in the afternoon. Who ever wins with the big catch of the day will take home a nice prize and one large frozen butterball turkey that was donated from one of my forum sponsors a local supermarket in my neighborhood. Remember to enter you must sign up at the nsp bait shop.
Tournament Rules Below. 1.No rays of any kind in the tournament 2.Any fish with a size limit must be legal size 3.No closed season fish 4.You can enter one fish only for the tournament bring it to the shop for weigh in and pic. 5.Cheaters will walk the plank.

All depends on the weather if we get a nice day we should have a pretty good crowd. Most anglers leave about one or two in the afternoon and head home for the turkey.

For this tournament you can do that just make sure you bring in your paid green fishing pass from the ssp and see me at the shop.

The kids and I will be there tomorrow..may fish the SSP if its too crowded..not sure if we will be in the tourney since lunch is at 1:30 but we will see..good luck and happy turley day to all.

I heard it was a 7-8 lb grouper..well as of 12:45 it was. I lost what was likely a nice keeper grouper to the rocks..was fighting him and then my reel got messed up and I couldn't reel it in...by the time I got it fixed, it was in the rocks and didn't want to come out. Did manage to bring in 4 undersized gags and my son caught a nice 22" mackerel. Great weather too.
