Arrived at the NSP around 1am and stayed till noon. I saw a few nice macks none mine, lots of silver trout. None very large. I did manage to get six big enough to take home but threw a bunch back. One shark fell off as I was bringing it up. Mr. catfish a couple. Plenty of ladyfish again. Big devils to. My florida fish book says the average is 1 to 2 pounds but the last three times I been out I have caught and seen many that had to be better than three. The greenbacks were as thick as I've ever seen them out there. Sometimes the water was just boiling. Looked like you coulda walked on them. You could drop your sabiki down and just pull it back up and most of them were just hooked in the back or tail or eyeball. Something else. But the thrill of the day. I have seen pictures of Goliath Groupers but really had no idea how big they got. The guy next to me caught one with a very large ladyfish. When he finally got it to the surface it was a whopper. I'm just estimating I'm not an expert but I'm going to venture that thing was at least 200 pounds. Wow! Don't know what kind of line he had but it musta been heavy. Anyway that's my report. Oh and yes they let it go. riverviewsteve USN Retired Probably be out again around 1am on Tues morning. At least I hope so.

One little mistake. I said I dropped a shark but when I got home and couldn't find it in my fish book I remembered the Remora. I looked it up and I'm pretty sure that's what it was. My wife caught one a couple of years ago. Now that I think about it, it looked just the same. Riverviewsteve USN Retired
