Hey guys,
As of right now i hope to be out on the SSP with my Dad, a good buddy of mine and his g/f Saturday morning till bout 3pm. Anyone from the old albacore alley crew gonna be walking the skyway mile?
If so look for us, should be in a either a metallic blue chevy tahoe or a gold tahoe.
Hoping to slay some macks, wrestle a grouper, find some snapper, maybe a pomp and all the while fend off flipper? Ambitious...of course i am.
All in all, looks like a great forecast, maybe a wee bit chilly, but that might just drive in the mighty king.
tight lines - hope to see you out there,
BMA (Jason)

will do. im hoping that this front wont drive the bait away. What do you think? i figure it came through yesterday, and sat is the new moon. Big tide at around mid night, got the moon rise about an hour and half after day break.
Hoping to net some good bait, and soak some pins for a hungry king or grouper.
How has the snapper bite been?

Get a sabiki rig, and get your own live bait; its a simple rig . Then hook your live bait, and put it almost to the bottom; when I day almost to the bottom, I mean lower it to the bottom and then pull in 2-3 cranks on the reel to keep it just off the dnag-filled bottom structure.
The pilings attract both bait and predators.
As long as you are out there fishing,... and asking questions , and observing others' successful techniques , you are learning. Learn from them that are catching.

I went out latweek and learned a few things.Had the fiance with the sabiki catching the white bait.
Hooked them live and tossed them out farl.Popped them as they came in.Hooked some fish, but lost them.I did get a 19 inch mackeral and 3 hammer heads.Good night and fun.
I will try what you are saying fishwander. Thanks for the tip.
Pretty much drop the bait by the piling with a split shot sinker and about 1-2 feet off the bottom?
