Is a fishing license required out there on the skyway ? I plan on bringing my mother out there Saturday evening.Wondering if she needs one. Also which would y'all recommend SSP or NSP ? Wanna try for some snapper and mackerel.
If I'm reading this chart right does it mean the outgoing tide will start about 3:30pm flowing out towards the gulf ?

One more question what size and color sabiki works best out there ? thanks in advanced.

you do not need a license to fish out there the pier covers that. The chart should be right, but sometimes it is a little off. I would use a size 3 or 4 in either color and that should work ine. Lastly, both piers hold fish its up to you which one to fish, but the ssp has more room to fish

If you want to land a tarpon or snook, you need a licence and tarpon tag, snook stamp.

thats only if you want to keep a tarpon or snook blacktip. No way you have control over what you land. But snook season is closed so dont worry bout it this year

Yes you can catch snook and or tarpon. I was told by a FWC officer that If you remove a tarpon from the water you have to have a tag. Snook, basic catch and release if you dont have a stamp.

Bridgetender, your mother may not need a license at all to fish any where, depending on how young she is. If she is younger than 65 depending on where one fishes license are required but not at the Sky Way. Painter
