Still here Monty, Was at the SSP yesterday from 9-2pm, first time in a few months. Actually went on a 2 tide day. It was slow, but managed to catch a few snapper and a 20" gag. Got too hot and wanted to beat the traffic home, so took off. As the weather cools off, I 'll be out there some more.

I caught a keeper yesterday along with another kid next to me, also a 20" a 19 and a few under 15, sheeps were out in force but since I got the keeper early didnt mess with them, started at 8 left at 11am, caught on frozen sardines
This time last year I was catching keepers pretty regularly up until the first bad cold snap which I think was early december

Well I haven't been out in a good while. I don't go out there when it's so blasted hot. Looks like it's starting to cool down a little so hope to get out to the North Pier next week if not sooner. Arrantzale if you catch any of them lizard fish while your on the pier try them out. One of my buddies was out there with a friend one day and they were just getting ready to pack it in when he caught a lizard fish. So he hooks it up and throws it in and in about 60 seconds he had the biggest black sea bass I've seen out there 16". They may get bigger but that was the biggest I've seen. So since then every time I have caught a lizard fish I have given it a try and I've been broke off every time. One of these days I'm going to land something with it I hope. Hope you find a good place to wade. I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you. Tight Lines riverviewsteve USN, Retired

Personally I haven't been to the piers in a few months, therefore no pier reports. Got tired of paying the hefty prices and sharing the water with the boaters. I'm sure once the weather cools off a little more I may take the kids out there for some night fishing but no definite plans. been fishing FDP and catching lots of small gags and redfish.

Well it's good to see that a few folks are still hangin in there. Myself, been working all over the state trying to keep the family fed and the electric turned on. Been so long since I been to the pier probably going to have to use my GPS to find it, but I will be back.

Well, I am no longer fishing at the piers, and kayak fishing only, but I do read the forum regulaly. Recently caught a 35-1/4" snook, holding on to 1st place in the HCKAC Halloween Slam tourney on 321fish.com (Oldtimer on that site and the Hardcore Kayak Anglers site). Plan to get off the beach soon for some kayak king fishing. Hope all you Pier Rats are doing well and catching plenty of fish. - David
