Hey Everyone, New guy here. I've been checking this site for a few months now, and have found a lot of useful information. I figured I would go ahead and register and post my fishing reports. I've experimented a bit, to find out what works for me, and I do ok here and there. A suggestion to the new folks wanting to fish the Skyway, put some time in and try different things, you will figure it out. I'm from the Davenport/Haines City area and fish the SSP every once in a while. I fished with my youngest son on 7/22 and we caught 5 Macks in the morning first thing, then it slowed down for a couple of hours until the tide started to turn out. The Macks turned on pretty good, and we had our 30 fish by 4:00pm. I fished yesterday with a buddy, but we didn't get out until just before 2:00pm, and the Macks were already on a frenzy. We did good from 2:00pm - 5:00, but then it started to slow down and around 6:00 they were gone. We ended up with 24. I did manage to also land a 21 inch Gag right before we left at 7:00pm, which I performed some CPR (Catch Photo Release) on. We caught the Macks using small greenies I netted, and either free lining them, or under a float. I caught the Grouper free lining a big greenie way out. I may try and get out again today, but I might be pushing it with my other half. Good luck all!! Ub Uploaded with ImageShack.us

You said : << I may try and get out again today, but I might be pushing it with my other half. >>
You forgot the rule of survival: "If Mommy aint happy aint nobody happy" ... and it continues : " If Poppy aint happy , nobody notices".
Maybe you can offer her a shopping trip in trade ?

Thats why I bring my girlfriend fishing with me. She enjoys the beautiful view and catches pins. I sit back and wait for the big fish. Its a win win

Yeah , you got that right !! But it's cheaper than being named as a defendant in civil/ divorce court action . It is always a win-win situation when there is a working give-and-take relationship ; sometimes you gotta compromise . Appreciate what you have .
The best companion you can have is a woman who enjoys the outdoors , camping , and fishing with you , ... and they are hard to find . Sometimes , you have to give a little .
