Im gonna go to the ssp tomorow from 10pm to maybe 7am is this a good timeto go. Also i would like to know some tips to catch mackeral or bonita like bait,rigs,ect that kind of stuff. I would really appreciate the help

Macks, some will make a double dropper rig and put 2 dead greenbacks on the bottom. Some freeline a live or dead greenie. Some will use a float. You can use the greenback alive or cut in half.
Bonita/false albecore/little tunny. There tough! You pretty much see em and drift a bait to em. They school up around the pier. But you never know where or when. When you do see em. toss out a few dead greenies, and get em frienzied up. Toss a couple here and there and sneak a bait out in your slick.

BTW. I think Macks are best caught during the day. I never had much luck catching them at night. If you can stay out until 8AM fishing you may get some from 7 to 8
