I completely agree with Monty, much more stable in my opinion. Check out the Perception Caster at Dicks, on sale for $499. I have read many good reviews on this one and know several people who own them. At 12.5' by 30" they are stable and have plenty of room for all your gear. Bas Pro also has a nice angler style in the same price range. By all means do some research on line, there are plenty of reviews and opinions. Jack

How come no one ever mentions the Hobie Line with the Mirage drive. Is it just to expensive? I like the Outback model if I was gonna get one.

yeah 2 grand is not in my price range haha, I've narrowed my choices down to the trident 13, tarpon 12(wilderness systems) or a perception pescadore 12 they have at sports. If I do push for the trident, Its going to be long drive to st pete and back cus they were the only good deal i could find.

Weedon Island Preserve, lots of Mangroves, no boats unless you get out into Pappy's Bayou or Riviera Bay. Oyster bars that hold Sheeps Head and Reds. Ft Desoto, inland area and south by the maintenance area. Gandy area around the power plant and west back behind the Marina's.
