Hi Guys,
What strategy do you use to catch snapper down at the skyway?
Thanks for any advice!

and they aint in yet. The winter put everything I mean everything off for a month. Snapper I guess are no exclusion, give it till july to get busy. I was catching mad snapper this time last year, they aint here yet. Same with all of my logs thru out this year.
Of course goingdeep gets some gets us all piked up. Cool it for a bit tho, I want them. Wanna try ceveche in the meanest way but if you are one of the regulars on here comin from pasco save the trip til they come in. Altho I dont fish at the Skyway so I am a bit of a scab
They aint out at fort d yet, I tried. Will take pictures when I do. Documenting all my catch this year. Very well may be the last chance I get to. Show it to my grandkids and say look what it used to be like.
My advice give it a little bit. Unless a hurricane even hints at coming into the gulf, then its take time off of work, charge camera batteries, take the kids out, cuz its game over.

Reports from Big Mikes site of some nice ones being caught up under the Bait House on shrimp. Caught a few small ones at SSP two weeks back out in the rocks late Friday night on cut bait, no keepers in my range.
