I'm heading down to the north pier today with some of that gulp alive! shrimp (4" new penny color). Had a massive strike last night that destroyed my 60# leader. Pulled up a small grouper and couple little baitfish. I'm trying out the smaller 3" bait today since the pinfish were chomping the hell out of the 4". Report to come later!

How were you fishing the shrimp? Under a bobber?

I did a texas rig with a bullet weight for far casts. Kept getting caught up near the artificial reefs yesterday, so I had to adjust the hook and bullet to be discreet when they hit bottom. Never used a bobber though, may try that soon though.

Crummy day (for myself) incoming tide negated any free lining of bait. Caught a nice blue runner though. Got there at 4 and saw a keeper spanish mack get pulled up.
