Arrival: 3:40pm Low Tide: 5-something.. Depart: 7:30pm Spot: Just past the bathroom before and the bait shop Wind: Hard in the face (that's what she said!!) Took my almost 12 year old son out for his first time fishing off a pier (or in salt water) More or less he was the Bait Master (or as I was calling him: The Master Baiter.. In a couple of year's I'm sure he'll wake up and call me out on it) .. But anyway.. he snatched up maybe two dozen green backs.. two or three pig fish and one lizard fish. I seen one or two pretty big macs on the other side swimming after my rigs, but in the end, it was a whitewash. In those four hours we didn't see a one landed. The wind was really bad in our faces, so that didn't make it a good time at all. Something big took a hold on the sabiki and fought for a good 10 seconds before the line breaking. Other then that it was all about the greenbacks. I guess catching bait fish is better then catching no fish at all!
