Well three times in a week. Third times a charm at least I hope so. This will be my last trip for a while. Got to have some eye surgery done and not supposed to do anything strenous like catch greenbacks with a sabiki as well as a lot of other activities. Hope that don't last to long. If I read it right Monday is supposed to be an outgoing tide from 3am till a little after 11am. Sure hope that's right. I am ready. I got sabikis and gold hooks and a new pair of dykes to cut line quickly. Mackeral rig. Gee I hope I'm ready. Bad or good I will give a report sometime Monday evening if I can stay awake long enough. Pier rat decal in the window. White F-150 supercab. Wearing a retired Navy ballcap. Will be somewhere around the bait shop. Probably be parked at the last parking space before the bait shop if it is open. Oh and I'll be using my white PVC rod holders so should be easy to spot. Hope to get there 2am or earlier. Tight Lines everyone. Here goes nothing. riverviewsteve

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I gotta tell you I thought I was going to get throughly wet. My weather report said 70% chance of rain. I left home at 1:29 am on Monday morning. I went through 60 seconds of rain twice on my way south on I'75 and that was it. I was really surprised. Got to the pier and set up to fish. A little later on I could actually see the stars. Stayed cloudy till 10am but other than that a perfect day for fishing. I wish someone had told the fish. I threw everything at them. All kinds of lures, mack rigs, sabikis of all sizes, gold hooks, spoon, gotcha even some bait and shrimp. They weren't paying attention. Green backs were plentiful both on surface and deep. Score 1 blue runner 1 pompano-two small 7" 1 lizard fish 1 toad fish 1 I don't know and that was about it except for the greenies. I saw one guy catch a keeper spotted sea trout and another guy had a 18" mack. It was a beautiful day though. Hardly any wind. Can't think of any place I'd rather be. Well I'll be down for a while with the surgery but I'll be back sooner or later. GS I spent all day yesterday making a green back catcher out of red and yellow tie straps and a clothes hanger bent into a circle. Tie straps were cheap at Dollar Tree. I didn't catch any anyway. I could see the Greenies laughing at me. The guy next to me says What the hell is that. When I told him he laughed hystericallly. Oh yeah I had my pier rat sticker in my windshield and this girl drives by and stops and backs up. I'm wondering why is she so interested in my truck. Then she asked me where I got it and I could not remember who I ordered it from. It was somebody on one of the forums. Ok that's it. Cute girl too. Bye! I'll be back. riverviewsteve
