Going to homosassa for the weekend with my aunt and uncle just wandering where we can take the boat and catch some fish never been there any info helps they've never been saltwater fishing before was hoping to get some trout maybe a red fish or 2 thanks

The flats outside the river are usually good for some redfish, trout and the occasional cobia. The bottom is made up of limestone and sand and is usually beautiful. Be careful if you have not navigated the Homosassa river. Beware of rocks and rocks and rocks.

Well we went out today caught a couple of small trout and a bunch of pin fish goin back in the mornin to do it again

We had a much better day today got into a school of small trout just out side the channel bout 6 7 foot of water no keepers tho got cut off by a mackeral and also caught some big catfish seen a small school of very large what looked to be gar fish pretty good day had fun
