after not doin much fishin. i heard there was some bass in the round lake by my house.sun morning i caught about6 around12-14" my ? is, how would you rig up a freshwater shiner?.the lake is not very deep. i also been gettin a few nice trout at the pp on the doa's. i was wondering if anyones been gettin any reds around the hernando pasco area? ?? i was thinkin mabey the little islands would be goin good right now c-ya

Through the lips.....bottom to top.Fresh water shiners got soft lips so you may be better off putting a small peice of rubber or plastic on the hook after the shiner also.This will keep him on your hook longer.
Can't help ya on the red brotha......me live too far away!
Good luck on them bass though.

I hook shiners behind the dorsal and put the under a bobber. Try to get the hook between their spine and innards.
