i got the next 2 days off and was wanting to know if there is any possable way to catch fish in the cold cold weather? here are my options------>first, there is this canal in hernando, at the end is a spring. with warm water i guess. we just learned about it and have newver fished it yet. but today there were big snook cruzin around in there. i wonder if they would be willing to bite anything???last week , a few canals down from there . we had huge jacks all arouynd us and under the boat for 30 mins. they wouldnt even take a shrimp right in front of there faces. must a been too cold cause today the floated up dead. people scooped em up for bait. and the second option is a place in crystal river. its a piece of property right in the middle of all this water and islands and pools and stuff. and theres a small boat ramp a 2 blocks away. would there be any reds or snook in there this time of year? well tell me what you think. if i have to. i will hit up the pp

is jenkins creek the canal your talking about in hernando?
i fish there sometimes during the winter and ive seen those big momma snook but they never seem to take anything. i catch trout there in the winter on shrimp or Gulps.
