I plan on hitting the SSP this weekend, weather permitting. If anyone is out the next day or two, could you please give us a bait report? How was it effected by the front that just came through. Is it still there? Best time to find it. Thanks! Last time out, last Sunday, it was as thick as it has been all year and afraid the last front might have scattered it. Need some Grouper bait!

I was out last sunday also.....the fishing wasn't quite worth the 2 1/2 hour ride.Saw about 8-10 macks come up all day....and 3 were mine.Saw about 5-6 boneheads come up.And the gags didnt want to cooperate much either.Wasn't much of a tide to freeline the rocks.NOT the best day at the pier.Wasn't even worth a report. But the bait was there in full force. They should still be there, might be deeper though with the weather. What are you using to target grouper????Lots of BIG pinfish out there right now.

I was out there last Sunday for about 4 hours. Caught one keeper grouper and one short the first half hour. Bite died as tide came in. Guy next to me pulled up a 27 incher. Saw Bonito all over the place but couldn't get them to bite. I caught my grouper on large threadins sabbikied up from down deep. All bait on top was small. Tried using pinfish, not a bite on them. I have better luck on outgoing tides since we cant' fish the east side of pier. Hoping bait is still there and can find some large threads or pins this weekend. If anyone is out there today or tomorrow, please let us know the bait and bite report. Thanks.
