I've found sand perch along the south shoreline of the alafia river. It's hit in miss but when they are there, all ya ever need with a cast net. Use to tear them up on the south seawall by big bend powerplant inside the inlet waterway. But of coarse that is all blocked off now, one more fishing spot lost to a so -called patroit act. Oh God don't let me get started there.

Used to catch a few when bait fishing at the Pier. They used to say the were Gouper candy, but to be honest, I always seemed to do better with a good ole Pinfish.

used to get them at Lowry park by the boat ramp. Right hand side by the floating dock or the other side of it. Lots of finger mullet at night, but the park will boot you out at after dark if you get caught.
