daaaaaaamn, I wish i liked fish, I probably fish more than most people and catch as many as most but aside from flounder I just can't get used to the taste of fish. Ive fished for trout up north, taken them right out of the stream and fried them up stream side, tried grouper down here, HATE mackeral, and yeah ive tried all sorts of ways but for as much as I fish would be nothing better than eating ur catch so I envy u guys. I love clams, up north we'd go out feel em with our feet dive down get a basket full come home n steam them yummmmmmm but no little necks here. eat hearty mates. kip

you just need to try some hogfish kip. mr girl hated fish because her mom made her those frozen cod fillets and junk when she was little. Now when I make grouper and hog she goes back for seconds.

somebody was telling bout a recipe of rolling up the snapper filets with ham and cheese inside then broiling them. Gotta try that, also need to just look up more recipes and try them out, keep my interest piqued.
I love fried fish but cant eat it every night, but i probably could fish. Wonder if toxins in the fish is anything to worry bout.

Tyler, I'm from Michigan and in the regulations guide they always listed what fish carried which toxins and at what levels. They usually gave guides that adult males didn't have too many restictions on the consumption of fish but women and children definitely did. It all depends on the type of fish (predator of fish, scavenger, insects, crustaceans) also larger fish carry more toxins. But as for down here... I haven't heard of many restrictions. Happy Eatings!

ive always heard that predatory fish and fish that live long lives carry more toxins. like kings, sharks, tuna, swords etc

wow, never thought id see something like that on here, im a diabetic and still til this day cannot turn down a nice big fried grouper sandwhich lathered with tarter sauce. some of my other local favs include snook, redfish, flounder, mahi, snapper, and hogfish
aside from the grouper sandwhich heres my number one fish dinner. fried(of course) snook nuggets, with cheese grits, garlic bread and a ceaser salad. i try to do that once every couple of weeks to keep my southern roots in place. cant go without fish n grits for too long.
