tip for those of you that like stay out on the pier and things but hate to have a lot of water to lug in the cooler .
if you have a water softner its easyier just get the water from you brine tank on the regen cycle and its perfect
but for thoses of you that dont take 1 1/2 cups rock salt pour in to a gallon jug and get your coffee pot going with just water , with that water pour in to the jug and desolve the salt , make sure its all dissovled ..
now put in your deep frezzer and it takes about 2 days for the frist frezze , now the colder you can get this mixture the better it will cool , becouse it takes on what ever the temp is in the frezzer mine after 3 days in there were 15 degs , now when you get ready to go put the jug or jugs in the bottom of your cooler and now put your drinks and whant not in there and get some regular ice and pour it over all this . i have had this set up last 2 days befor i had to frezze the jugs again , but with the water that comes off the regular ice it will frezze in to ice which will keep the cycle going , the frozen jugs sould be snow white when the come out of the frezzer .
warning i have had a few cokes pop due to this . hope this helps you keep your cooler cooler in these hot days
