LOL.. I been messin with that ramora for a couple trips now. He allways shows up in a certain area. The Blue runner i caught big boy on was about 5 inches. Just a dink. We caught several of them in that size around the shipping channel bouys.

nice fish my man.
Be careful. 40 miles out in that boat with a single engine is a very long ways away. Also get yourself a membership to towboat and or boat US. I would also place an EPIRB high on my priority list as well if you keep venturing out like that.

Crazy as it seems. Dont be suprised. Middle grounds about 80 miles. I carry 82 listed gallons, and get 3 to 3.5 mpg. I get a weather window it might... be done. Or you might be reading about me If them idiots can make a journey across the atlantic in a 21 ft flat bottom skiff.. i can do the grounds... Im f###in crazy like that

The middle grounds ain't no joke. Even if your boat was a 24', thats still very small to take out 90 miles with a single 135. You say 82 listed so figure 75 useable because you never get the last few drops. 75 * 3mpg = 225. 90 miles back and forth doesn't leave much of a reserve plus motoring around out there. And heaven forbid if $hit kicks up while your out there, you won't be getting 3mpg and that reserve is gone.
Not trying to rain on your parade at all. Just safety is a big thing for me. I've made many a trip out there and when something happens (because it will and Murphy is always around) you're gonna be 100 miles from land in a small boat.
Fish on.

LOL Appreciate the vote of confidence > ... We'll see how things work out. Going a bit further tomorrow morning.. in the range of 60 miles, if this weather stays the way its forcasted. winds 5 to 10 seas 2ft.... I believe its going to be calmer then there predictions, but we'll see. Gonna hit some deep pipeline numbers, and work my way back in. ive got 5 numbers plotted, and a game plan. Talk to you guys when i return.
