Used to Fester. Played 2 to 4 times a week after work or early weekend tee times. I use to shoot in the low 80's sometimes breaking 80. Loved the game until I injured my back and the Doc told me I would be wise to give it up. The twisting action aggravates my lower spine. Sure do miss it though.

Used to Gold all the time until I move to Fl ten yrs ago. Re-discovered fishing and would rather be on the beach, Pier or flats fishing then being on a hot course chasing a white ball. Plus the rangers at the Tampa area courses do not like it when you drink on the course.
On St Patty's Day we used to hold the Irish Whiskey Classic. Each hole before teeing off we all do a shot of Irish Whiskey. If hit in the fairway... pick some one to do a shot. If you missed the fairway you did another shot. Boy we were wasted by the ninth hole and completely whack by the 18th. Many folks were found sleeping/passed out along the course.
Boy I miss golfing.....

Love to play and play as often as I can. Now that the school year has started I will not get out as often but I am always up for a round.

Hey all, I used to play 1-2 times a week when rates where down after 2pm. Usually played at Summerfield or Buckhorn Springs. Played for years but never broke a legit 90. Took leasons at Sun City Center and also from a good friend at my usuall driving range. I usually shot around 95-100 depending on how tough the coarse is. At USF course, the fairways are so tight that I shot a 124. Can't play anymore because of bad disc's in my back. Gave my son my clubs and he has been doing very well. Did have time to teach him as few things. He shot a 87 at Buckhorn Springs a few weeks ago. It's a tough coarse with great greens. The greens are anything but flat, gotta work for them. They say only 10% of all players shoot under a 100 legit without those footwedges n' chit. I don't know if that's true or not but it sounds about right. If you have never golfed, try it. It a blast. Good luck all
