put a 6lber in the boat today with a live shrimp on 2/0 circle, 25lb braid and 20lb fouro leader...and a 3ft black tip shark!

quick. why use a smaller pound leader then your line? when you're in extremely clear water it's always a good idea to drop down the leader size a little

Well my arrogance did me in this weekend, or else the pier is just getting fished out but i only managed 2 sheeps this weekend, hooked into one that was pretty big but he wrapped me, but the line was wedged onto the piling so tight that he remained trapped there for a bit so everybody could see him.
I dont know if it was the cold weather or what but they were finicky this weekend

Oh well... Ya caught 2 more than I did! Some times, when the weather gets too pretty they'll shut off. Especially on Weekends when it's real crowded. At least ya tried. Better luck next time!

yeah the water was clearer than i have seen it in months, and the weather was beautiful out wow. The only ones that seemed to get caught were the ones up in the dark so they might have been seeing the hooks or the people. Caught a 14 in seabass gonna eat that tonite with the sheeps and one guy hooked into what looked like a cobia on a chunk of oyster
