Finally got to fish...after well over a month missing it. Went to the small piers at Sand Key..noticed right away that one was damaged and sagging at the end. There is already one gone...had been the best pier. Used pieces of shrimp..caught a keeper grass porgy, a small puffer, several sand perch, one large enough to keep and several pinfish with 2 fairly large..tossed those back. Tide was rising, water was clear and there was no bait. Fished from about 730 am to 930.

Looks like we will be down to one pier there soon. Not good, we will be limited to seawall fishing.

It would be great if the county didn't neglect or forget about our piers...
