Taking the kids down and staying in Bradenton for 10-11 days. Gonna hit the skyway pier along with other piers in that area. July wise what is best to target and gear recommended. Also what is the best tackle shop around there
Any help is appreciated

Go with the classic Carolina/slip rig. About 1oz egg weight > swivel > 2' of 20# leader > #2-2/0 hook Live shrimp will catch everything. You can catch baitfish with a sabiki rig or cast net. Use the ones under 4" live and use big ones for cut bait.
Snapper, Spanish mackerel, & grunts will hit these baits.
If you're getting cutoffs from macs, try a long shank hook on the same rig but use a fillet off a bigger baitfish. You can also drift the strip bait with just a split shot or under a float for Spanish

awesome thank you, research has my plan being the C-rig, knocker rig and a couple of others i found. ill have a throw net but im not the best and the kids love the sabiki and catching bait. goal is going to be mangroves and macks, im going to try and mess with grouper and snook also. areas to fish i have is skyway, fort desoto(kids had blast May 2021) due to wind we only got to fish the big one, gandy, sand key pier, pier 60, tierra verde and anna marie piers. seen a lot of videos of other passes and bridges ill investigate lol. also will walk the beach for snook.
now for July is the primary shore based fisheries snook, mangrove and macks. any chance at pompano or any other species i might be overlooking

Snook will be there at the passes at night as well. whiting, moonfish/look down, sheephead, grunt, jacks, permit, tipletail, bluecrab... etc
