Fished the east end of the Gandy bridge from around 6:45 am to 10am. Tide was high and very little current. Caught three keeper mangroves, 1 keeper lane and a nice grunt. There back about 4 small mangroves and one small lane. Piles of puffers and catfish. All on live shrimp. Didn’t even bother trying to net bait. Had better days and much worse. Bad part was my 25 Merc stopped peeing. Gotta figure that out.

Was the bait still stacked up under the bridge?
Ill be heading that way again tomorrow. Snapper bite has still been pretty slow (at least for me) hope they push in thick. Been getting a lot of reds though.
Check your intakes for clogs, may need to drop lower and replace impeller/waterpump housing.
Thanks for the report.

I did not see a lot of bait under the bridge. I usually get them over on the shallow flat on the northeast side, but I didnt go over there.
Yep, need to drop the lower unit and check the impeller.

Another tip on your outboard, after u drop the lower, take 5 or 10 minutes and back flush it with a hose, half way down the center should be a water exhaust, start there with a hose, then the pisser hole Set a bucket under the intake pipe to catch any debris, sand, shell, pieces of the impeller. If it's clear, then put hose on intake water pipe, it should come out exhaust and pisser hole. It's worth 5 minutes to make sure your ports in block are clear.
