Sucked! Started slinging around noon, shut it down around 5pm. Caught 6 macks, 4 were about the size of my spoon, managed to get 2 around 18". Just when I thought things would pick up 2 papa sans pulled up and ran me off throwing their sheet right in front of me, freelining cut bait and immediately got 2 nice macks off my spot. I gave them the Bama look and packed up and left but cracked a Corona and hit the pipe first....about a mile down the road I felt mellow again

Yeah I was there. No macks for me. About 30 mangos/lanes and a sea bass. Most short. Kept about 10 mixed between lanes and mangos.

My experience in past that it was really hard to get a legal one. What are they biting on? No problem with me catching large enough mangos.

My last trip out there I was able to get a keeper lane off a fiddler. Maybe the keepers are making a rare appearance in good numbers at the piers this year.

I caught a nice keeper about 3 years ago while fishing on a boat near the Meisner bridge.

When me and a friend were out on the nsp in December of last year, he ended up catching a 11 inch lane. I've never seen them like that over there before.

I've caught a few legal Lanes out there but never kept any.....I suspect they are excellent off the grill. I might ease out there again tomorrow around daylight, hope it's raining with no lightning... just need something to fire up those lazy macks.....if you're coming out, bring me a pot of grits

I’ve caught a decent number of keeper lanes at the skyway on shrimp. Some days they aren’t there and then other days every fish that comes over the rail is a lane.

I've seen some nice Sea Bass caught out there recently, saw a couple at 14"...hope they hang around. We caught lots of them fishing for sheeps 30 yrs ago, released them, just a nuisance for a hardcore sheep fanatic

Back out there this morning, took about an hr to pack it in....caught one 12" Jack, gave it to mama san, she was so gracious, bless her. They can go 100% capacity now, it's a new ballgame June 1st. I need a dozen or so frozen mackerel heads for some bottom fishing

I've caught a few legal Lanes out there but usually as a bycatch while looking for other fish
