Wow, that first one is a big one. I'm sure their on the SSP also. Big Mike just does a better job at promoting the NSP, Where the SSP does nothing.

From what I have heard, Most of the Anglers have been using Macks for Bait. A couple Anglers have been using Large Pinfish. On the 2nd picture, You can see his Trolley Rig in the Background.

Do you have to be at the end of the bridge to target kings?

Do you have to be at the end of the bridge to target kings? Yes, and no. Much better chance at the end while it's closer to the channel where the king usually at.

Not sure if I see a pattern with the Kings, at least the ones pictured. Does the King run feature the larger fish early with the smaller ones later? Much like the Spanish mackerel? And has anyone caught legal sized Kings with a spoon?

I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking about tying a 250 Kingspoon behind a trolling sinker and seeing if I had any luck.

I have caught 1 King on a 3 1/2" Spoon with a 4 oz. inline sinker with a 60lb. leader at the end of the NS Skyway Pier about 15 years ago before they removed the Eastbound lanes. I have also caught several with the same spoon trolling behind a boat. Spoons will work.

The big one doesn't school and the small one school up like crazy. So yes, you can catch them with spoon. Usually troll drove spoon with a planar for them in the shipping channel.

Wind is to strong for a 16ft boat, we've had white horses out there. On a calm day your technique will work in the channel

Just wait until the Winds go down & the Waves calm down before You sink Your Boat, Yourself, Gear & Whoever else may be with You.

Sure-enough flat bottom jon boat or a deep sided semi-v? A 16' deep sided semi-v, I would have no problem taking it out there on a calm day. A flat bottom jon boat, no thanks.
